Some of the considerations for an outdoor menu board installation include enclosures/weather proofing, brightness/contrast and government regulations.

Any menu board outside in extreme temperatures will need a heating and/or cooling system, which will require periodic maintenance and cleaning. Temperature/humidity sensors and alert systems will help ensure that the solution is always running at optimal levels.

Many states have regulations about brightness at night as well as motion, so drivers are not distracted. QSR menu boards that face the street may be allowed to have static content only for those reasons.
